Come hungry, thirsty, and in the mood for a good time with great music at Egan's Ballard Jam House as Jazz Vocalists Brandee Young, Susan Berger, Leslie Handley, Jayne Boelman and Susan Harper showcase their talents, each with a four song set, before an audience of cheering fans, friends and family. The Hans Brehmer Jazz Trio accompanies. $5 cover. Reservations highly recommended.

I will be singing in the vocal showcase from 8;15 to 8:45pm following 2 other unique and wonderful comrades in song, Rosemary Sweeney and Cara Francis. The showcase begins at 7pm, and will be followed by a vocal jam. Come out and get inspired, then sing a number with the wonderful band: Darin Clendenin/piano, Larry Holloway/bass and Jeff Busch/drums as the trio (this band has exceptionally great players).

Dina Blade plays guitar and sings hit songs from the Great American Songbook circa 1930-40s.

JAZZ VOCAL PERFORMANCE CLASS
This series explores jazz singing in a safe and fun setting, with a final public performance of 3-4 songs per student while accompanied by a jazz trio. Class meets four times. Great motivational class for singers who want to “go the distance” from choosing songs to performing them onstage. Class is limited to 5 students on a first come, first serve basis, and is open to all levels, ages teen through adult. Registration cost is $225 (includes 4 three hour-long classes with two instructors, piano accompaniment, all handout materials, and performance/recital fees).
